Bilderberg aftermath

After the Bilderberg meeting finished and the "guests" had all departed, intrepid reporters went investigating. Lo and behold they found the remnants of a presentation by Thompson Reuters, part of one of the largest news and financial data organisations, which incidentally was responsible for calculating LIBOR, at the heart of the market rigging scandal.

Josh Virasami joined a Critical Thinking session a few months ago to talk about the expanding theatre of war across Africa. Subsequently he was interviewed on the same subject for KtoK Radio and Occupy Radio UK.

Josh's recent article on Occupy News Network examines the role of Facebook in the recent NSA spying revelations, questioning reliance on Facebook as a means of communication when all those communications are monitored.

Maggie alerted Daily Pickings to an interesting news analysis website, Buzzsaw. It would appear to indulge in thinking about what it reports rather than taking the first rumour that comes along and running with that. The show emphasises the need to verify facts before reporting them as such. This show from April highlights some of the unsubstantiated claims made at the time of the Boston Marathon bombing which have now been discredited.
