Usury = power

Bankers bankrolled William of Orange, who married into the House of Windsor; in return they were given control of the British economy with the establishment of the Bank of England in 1694. Together with the other banking families, Rothschilds proceeded to gather influence and power over Europe and America through their control of money.

“Let me issue and control a nation’s money and I care not who writes the laws.” Meyer Amschel Rothschild - 1790

Usury is the foundation of that control - without interest, bankers would have no power. With interest, ultimate control resides with the bankers - all else is window dressing to obscure what's going on unseen.

Central Bankers Seek Totalitarian Power by Henry Makow
"The fact that they control unlimited money, insofar as they themselves create it, does not...determine the limits of their ambitions . . .The bankers, have the impulse towards power, towards full power. Just as you and me."
They created the Communist state as a "machine of total power" unprecedented in history. In the past, due to many factors, "there was always room for individual freedom. Do you understand that those who already partially rule over nations and worldly governments have pretensions to absolute domination? Understand that this is the only thing which they have not yet reached."

The consequences for the victims of usury are all too familiar. The balance of power is always with the creditor (the short side - there are more people in need of money than those creating and dispensing it).

Genocide of the Debtor By Usury by Tom J. Kennedy
Indeed, it is truly unfortunate that usury is considered a normal aspect of our modern economy. Even the Christian churches which were historically opposed to usury by the conviction that it disobeyed God’s law are now accepting of it. Many church organizations even charge usury when lending money to churches within their specific religious jurisdiction. It’s time to challenge all Christian churches to call for the abolition of usury as they had done during the Middle Ages when all of those wonderful cathedrals were constructed in Europe.
It is no wonder that the death of thousands of people all over the world on a daily basis is attributed to the design flaw of usury. The daily, global, death rate of children attributed to the design flaw of usury is approximately 40,000 per day.

Money creation as debt by bankers is no longer controversial; it is now widely accepted as the reality. The next step is to recognise that not only is interest the source of the Rothschilds and other banking families' power but is one of the major driving forces behind inequality, environmental devastation and the current abusive and destructive political economy.

Wars will not stop; poverty will not be history; the environment will not be protected; nor will the many other problems in the world be fixed until we address the fundamental flaws in the current political economy: the denial of access to land, resources and the commons and interest on money - usury. Then we need to address the issue of power and where it resides - in hierarchy.

Have others already written directly about this?

Hi Bill

This is not directly relevant to your question but may add depth and potential references to the establishment of the Bank of England. Myron Fagan in today's Daily Pickings http://www.freecriticalthinking.org/daily-pickings/2023-hidden-in-plain-sight
goes into some depth about the Rothschild history and covers the period in question.

It is a US perspective but in the global context.

Dutch bankers funded the Glorious Revolution so they could establish a base the nature of which they couldn't in the Low Countries and introduce money as a product to the then culture, and my notes on this and loose writings are at http://www.economania.co.uk/various-authors/dutch-finance.htm Have others already written directly about this? Can you give me details please, further reading? As you can see I've been going through books on the period and making notes and saving extracts for future collation. I can always use more info :-)
This is great Bill but there aren't references which immediately come to mind. Hopefully, the Critical Thinking network will produce something but we've not conducted in depth study on the establishment of the BoE - there is much more reliable information relating to the creation of the US Fed

I was extremely interested to read this "The Rothschilds bankrolled William Orange... in return they were given control of the British economy with the establishment of the Bank of England in 1694." I'm writing a piece about that general idea, that the Dutch bankers funded the Glorious Revolution so they could establish a base the nature of which they couldn't in the Low Countries and introduce money as a product to the then culture, and my notes on this and loose writings are at http://www.economania.co.uk/various-authors/dutch-finance.htm Have others already written directly about this? Can you give me details please, further reading? As you can see I've been going through books on the period and making notes and saving extracts for future collation.
